You could try to sell it to the owner of spiele.mobi / spiel.mobi (they bought these DNs for $2000 and $7000). But these are good Names for Mobile Games. What can you do with Spielzeug (Toys) on Mobiles?.

I don't think that you could get more than few Dollars.

I was thinking about an affiliate of amazon.de (the 'spielzeug' part). If you go to that site with your mobile phone you can order your toys from your phone....(try it..it works)

I'm not really planning of selling it..just curious is there is any worth in german .mobis. This seems to me as a very nice keyword.

"spiele.mobi" and "spiel.mobi" are quite different from "spielzeug.mobi". "Spielzeug" has no relation to mobile applications or services. So I guess it's worthless.

Well, i just saw that toys.mobi has 26 bids on Sedo.
But thats a short and international word and not limited to german lang.
So maybe i was a bit too harsh with the "appraisal".
If you are not planning to sell, then establish your idea and see what happens.

Firstly, because nobody with mobile hardware (cell phones etc.) needs a .mobi to purchase or learn about anything online. Any other tld will do. Secondly, because the vast majority of netizens never even heard of .mobi and, imho, it will certainly stay that way. Dot mobi is merely another superfluous tld by speculators, for speculators. That’s all. The sellers of spiel, spiele, flowers….mobi did well by cashing in on the typical early speculative euphoria. Conversely, the buyers have my condolences => they wasted a bunch of their money.

I did make some nice profits with .mobi domains though..so I'm probably one of those sellers cashing in on the euphoria . I owned about 150 and in total I made a 300% profit. Better than the stockmarket.

The buyers of spiel and spiele though won't regret the buy ..don't have pity with them. Google spilgames and you know why.
Flowers was just a stunt..for the guy who bought it...200K is small change..

Turning 150 domains with a triple return on the reg fee over a short period of time certainly sounds like decent money – and also plenty of work. However, without seeing names and numbers, a 300% ROI on 150 domains does not tell anybody anything. For instance, you could have dumped 90% of the mobi domains and gotten real lucky with 10%.

The buyers of spiel and spiele though won't regret the buy ..don't have pity with them. Google spilgames and you know why.

Any synergy with the German words spiel or spiele and spilgames is wishful thinking – and whatever little bit of cross-over/typo overflow spilgames*com might generate certainly won’t make those .mobis any more more valuable. Those buyers simply wasted a bunch of money. It happens. Not the seller's problem. :Angel:

Totally to the point. I've sold several dutch keywords for 1k + and some into the high/middle xxx range.

My last 107 I've sold in total for 3K. (Sold almost my whole .mobi portfolio)

Calculating my regfee + renewalcosts I've made a nice profit. Keeping about 5 .mobis into my portfolio..to speculate a little bit...
