Hallo alle,
I can't speak German so well so I will continue in English if it's ok. :burnout:

We have launched a service Expiring Words - www.expiringwords.com. It is a site for domainers which shows a wide list of .com .net .info, ... domains which will expire in 7 days and which are represented by words from national word dictionaries (German is ofcourse also included here).

We are planning to add .de tld in near future.

Do you think that Expiring Words could be useful for you? Are German domainers interested about another than .de domains for their national websites? I will be very pleased for any comments or feedback.

Feel free to use Expiring Words.

Thank you

not all of the words listed are german:
for example airways, iwrit, monoman, mordern, rouge
others are rarely used in german language like odems
and some of them are hardly to belief german like reflexes
(genetive singular of reflex, not used very often)

Welcome Tweety!

Ahoi!

Hi Vaclav,

welcome at Consultdomain.de, i´ve moved your post into the advertising category.

To answer your question, yes German domainers do like other gTlds with German keywords, though .de as you are probably aware of is the most popular one amongst us.

Good luck with your Service!

Cheers

Markus

Hey guys,
thank you for the replies.

Paul_Kuhn: Well, that our German dictonary has around 550.000 words so it is possible that some of them are really weird. I can comapre it with czech words where some of them are not used by normal people:). For now I think it is good to list more than less but we will work on that, definitely.

Logop: actually we are going to add .de domains in near future. Is there in Germany some dropcatching service like pool.com or snapnames?

Hallo alle again:),
we were hardly working at Expiring Words. Especially with dictionaries. German dictionary could be found at: German expiring domains - Expiring Words

Do you think that the German words are more precise? I know there are mixed with english dictionary.

We also added some new functionalities like filtering according to type of domain or TLD and Active auctions list.

I would be very pleased for any comments from you, thanks.

Vaclav

there is no expiration date for .de domains. thats why there is no real backorder service for them at the moment.

As far as I know realtime provides .de backorders... and others might soon as well...

If you now look at German expiring domains - German expiring domains - Expiring Words, it shows only type - Clean one-word domains (no prefixes or anything). The domain names should be more accurate. Are they?

Hmm, let us see:

antideflation <-I am not sure, never heard this word before
booklets <- definitly not german
christas <- definitly not german
kill <- definitly not german
kostlich <- definitly not german, but koestlich/köstlich (IDN)
leasend <- definitly not german
orbits <- definitly not german
skinheads <- definitly not german
stuf <- definitly not german
werwolfs <- definitly not german but werwolf/werwoelfe/werwölfe(IDN)

Ahoi!

A lot of originally English word can nowadays be found in the German dictionary, e.g. "booklets" and "skinheads" ...

Only you shouldn't substitute "ö" by "o" but "oe" (same for ä and ü) - which might be an issue of the SQL-function in use.
