Kevin Ham has quietly become the single largest typosquatter in the world. While he acknowledges owning great domain names like attorney.com he is silent about his stable of trademark infringing and mis-spelt domain names which he monetizes for himself an others via HITFARM, a pay per click engine which serves up Yahoo sponsored ads. Ham recently credited Anthony Peppler for his success in the domain business. Peppler was recently convicted of cybersquatting on a colosal scale in federal court and ordered to refrain from purchasing domain names. Vertical Axis, another Ham company has been hit with numerous charges of cybersquatting and has lost a number of domain names in arbitration hearings this year alone. How anyone can see the .cm scam as a benefit to business is beyond me. The only ones benefiting from this are Ham and Cam but the poor advertisers who are paying Yahoo on a per click basis with absolutely no idea that their ads are being served on these kinds of pages are the losers here. Hams propensity to make money on pornographic domain names and the intellectual property rights of others make him a villain to those in the know but to magazines such as yours who have no understanding of the industry and who are apparentley unwilling to investigate before they write the millions and millions of dollars he has swindled from people make him a hero. That is a sad statement.
