Ok kann sich ja um einen Irrtum handeln dachte ich aber dann, einige Zeit später diese Mail erhalten:

I have been scammed by DotUsa. As far as I can find out there is no USA prefix. I have been told that this is a hoax/scam. If you have any other information (positive or negative) I would appreciate a reply.
Thank you

I just received an email msg from them saying that my credit card was declined for the domain I registered..... wanting me to resend my cc info via email..... I was a little skeptical bout that issue. I was under the impression that the .usa extention was legit. I will have to contact VeriSign and Network Solutions and find out whats going on. I have several legit domains already registered. If I find out anything good or bad, I will pass it along.
Regards......

This is a email scam to get your credit card information. Do not give them your credit card number via email. As for DotUSA there is a high probability that they are a scam too. However, there is word that there will be a domain name server available in 2002 that will work for any extension. The catch is that each user will have to install a special plug-in to have access to the domain names. ICANN does not have any plans on creating the .usa extension.
Is it a scam? Don't know at this point. If anyone else has any credible information please forward.

I requested 3 ".usa" names: "invest.usa" - "robert.usa" - "ali.usa" I requested 1 year registrations for all three names at $59.00 each.I entered a credit card for each order.
I received confirmations for "robert.usa" and "ali.usa" telling me that I was registered for 1 year and was charged $59.00.
Although I requested a 1 year registration for "invest.usa" I received back a confirmation for a 5 year registration telling me that I would be charged $295.00.
Immediately, I sent an e-mail to "dotusa.com" requesting a correction to 1 year and that my card be credited back the difference between $295.00 (5 years) and $59.00 (1 year). I received no response and have sent 3 more e-mails to request the correction. I still have received NO response.
This morning I received an e-mail asking for my credit card number again. I responded with a request that they provide me with a phone number to contact them.
I believe this is a SCAM and would appreciate any information that anyone has on this matter.
Thank you.
Robert

Thanks for this. I also received an email asking for the credit card details to be re-sent. I'm ignoring it. I thought the .usa extensions were legitimate and I have a receipt, so if it turns out that it was a hoax then the credit card company will reimburse. I guess we're all in the same position - protected by our credit card companies...

I was told they would take my money via paypal for my DOT.USA payment. They said to send the money to
[email protected] JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!
DON'T SEND MONEY TO THIS EMAIL ADDRESS VIA PAYPAL!!! IT IS A SCAM!!!
Come on.................... A DOT.USA with an AOL email address? One would think they would have their own domain on .com, net etc.
Cancel your [payment and use the protection granted via Federal Law that REQUIRES Credit Card companies to refund your money. They will then use their clout to get the FEDS on them!!!!!
Let's all get them!!!

Fazit: Alfred lässt jetzt die Finger von:
dotgod.com / dotsex.com / dotbrit.com / dotscot.com / dotusa.com
Und auch wenn noch einstellige zu bekommen wären!
