zurückerhalten!!!
We have just been advised by the .biz registry operator of
some important and significant changes with respect to .biz
name registrations.
As you may be aware, the registry operator is involved in
litigation that specifically challenges their approach used to
allocate .biz names during pre-registration. The net effect is
that the registry has decided to make some changes to the
rules they have used as part of this process. Specifically:
- any .biz names that had more than one application during
pre-registration will be affected
- the registry is returning monies to registrars for the application
fees for these names
- the registry is requiring registrars to return any monies charged
as part of the application process to registrants in order to qualify
for this "refund"
- other .biz registrations are not affected in any way
- there will be a new free application process for
affected names
- at this time, our best information shows that this process will not
conclude until March 2002
